Compare the Storz & Bickel Dosing Capsule Caddy and Dosing Capsule Magazine on capacity, portability, and odor control to pick the right capsule storage for your sessions.
Quick answer
Choose the Storz & Bickel Dosing Capsule Caddy with 4 Capsules if you want odor-proof, waterproof storage on a keychain for short outings. Choose the Dosing Capsule Magazine if you need to carry eight capsules and already own or plan to buy the Dosing Capsule Filling Chamber for Volcano or Plenty.
Capacity and portability trade-off
The Caddy holds four capsules and attaches to your keychain, so it disappears into a pocket or bag. The Magazine holds eight capsules but is a larger, dedicated container. More capacity means less refilling, but the Magazine is not described as keychain-friendly, so it suits a bag or drawer rather than a pocket.
If you vape in short sessions away from home, four capsules may cover a day. If you share sessions or go on longer trips, eight capsules reduce the need to pack loose herbs.
Odor and moisture protection
The Caddy is explicitly odor-proof and waterproof. The supplied facts for the Magazine do not state odor or water resistance, so treat that as an unknown rather than a guarantee. If discreet, smell-free carry matters most, the Caddy is the safer choice.
Neither product is described as airtight beyond the Caddy's claims, so avoid storing capsules in damp conditions regardless of which you pick.
Compatibility exception for Volcano and Plenty
The Magazine works with all Storz & Bickel vaporizers, but Volcano and Plenty owners need the Dosing Capsule Filling Chamber, sold separately. The Caddy's supplied facts do not mention a filling chamber requirement, but it is designed for Dosing Capsules, so confirm your device uses them before buying either accessory.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Capacity vs. pocketability: The Magazine holds eight capsules; the Caddy holds four and clips to a keychain. Pick the Magazine for longer trips or shared sessions, the Caddy for light daily carry. Count how many capsules a typical outing uses before deciding.
- Odor control vs. unknown: The Caddy is odor-proof and waterproof; the Magazine's supplied facts do not claim either. If smell or moisture is a concern, choose the Caddy.
- Device compatibility: Volcano and Plenty owners need the Dosing Capsule Filling Chamber for the Magazine, sold separately. The Caddy's facts do not mention that requirement, so verify your device uses Dosing Capsules first. Factor the Filling Chamber cost into the Magazine's total price if you use a Volcano or Plenty.
