Eucalyptus Leaf - Flavor Herb

$1.95 $3 In stock

The leaves of a eucalyptus tree contain an aromatic and volatile oil which vaporizes easily. It has a soothing, spicy, flavor, and is renowned for its expectorant effect (promotes the discharge of mucus from the respiratory tract). When made into a tea, Eucalyptus leaves and its oil are used to help treat a sore throat as well as to ease congestion. Eucalyptus should be smoked sparingly as the oils can irritate your lungs, and some find the taste to be a bit too strong and spicy. We recommend using this herb as no more than 15% of your smoking blend.

The expectorant effect is no joke—steeped a handful in hot water and my chest felt clearer within minutes. The spicy, soothing flavor is surprisingly pleasant for something so herbal, and the leaves keep their aromatic kick even after a few days in the jar.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easily the leaves release their aroma when crushed—it really brings out that soothing, spicy flavor. It makes my tea feel like a proper respiratory boost during cold season.

The aroma really does vaporize quickly once steeped, which made my chest feel clearer almost right away. Only wish the bag had a bit more leaf since I ended up using two spoonfuls for a proper cup.
